 Alice Oseman has a way of making the lighthearted moments memorable and the emotional moments gut wrenching. I was tearing up on almost every other page for a multitude of reasons. It's a really cute story that covers a range of topics from sexuality to mental health and messy families.

After they ( finally ) kissed, Charlie and Nick's journey feels a little aimless. The first Volume had a very clear story with no distractions, but this has lots of subplots going on simultaneously. Around the second half it focuses more on Nick's coming to terms with his sexuality; yet this is not as grandiose or compelling as the story of the first volume.

The characters are all still very likable, and I adore the natural, healthy and communicational way their relationship unfolds. As far as I know ( I don't really read webcomics, aside from Shen maybe ), the stereotypical LGBT Webcomic tends to go from meeting each other to _meating_ each other rather quickly... and that's probably the reason they're popular. But this book doesn't rush anything and it stays family friendly.
