Eve Babitz captures the rose colored feeling of LA that I love and miss but that only truly exists for the rich or connected. Definitely a new favorite.

Eve Babitz has this way of making everything feel like you’ve been pulled aside at a party and told the most important thing you’ve ever heard. Her writing parallels Didion in this irreverent flourish, she understands art and the social affairs its entrenched in so perfectly.
