ummmm. So, I think I misunderstood the ending of The Giver until reading this graphic novel version. Ouchie, this hurts. Still, The Giver impacted me so much when I read it in 5th grade, and has stuck with me ever since. Revisiting it feels just the same.

This is the perfect story to adapt into a graphic novel because of the importance of color to the plot. I really enjoyed this version. My only complaint is that the last third felt rushed.
