I have mixed feelings for the ending, and I'm not sure how to express my thoughts about it. Probably the story has lost its peak for quite some time and should be ended earlier. I don't feel surprised about the ending because there is nothing spectacular about it. I feel the entire story was really outstanding and exceptional up to the point after they become Elite Ten. And that's it, that is the full-stop for me. The remaining chapters or volumes are just irrelevant, especially the character 'Saiba'. It's not a bad idea to tell more about Erina's mother and to make Erina understand herself more, but I don't see there's a point of having Saiba exists in this story.

*happy sigh* That was a really good ending. It was really sweet (and a little bit weird with what that one twist did to a previous plotline...) and the epilogue chapters tied up all the little loose ends. It made all the mediocre installments and odd bits along the way worth it, just to finally get this ending. (Well, all the odd bits except the random nudity. That's still super weird and the one thing that keeps from loving and recommending this series to everyone.)

-But, things were rushed. I mean, when it was announced that the manga was ending, I was like: "Already???"
-What was the point of Asahi?
-Family drama all around, Nakiri family.
-I still don't like Erina.
-I want a definitive ending. It's like it cut off in the middle of their journey.
-This is a 3-star rating only because we finally get Soma's mother's background.

This rating is basically for this whole series (I'm only putting this one on my read shelf, since I DO NOT have the patience to do it for the whole series).
This was a solid 4.5 stars manga until the regimental shokugekis started. And the last arc was just plain horrible.
