I’m almost halfway into this book and barely anything has happened. There’s so much emphasis on character development to the point where the story isn’t moving forward. This should’ve been a novella.

this was a decent read for me!! i loved the premise and there are some beautifully written pieces in here, but i’m ending up giving it 3 stars. i felt a little disconnected from the characters and felt like the story was getting pretty choppy especially towards the end. still a great read though.

So I attempted to read this in october but got distracted by other things and wanted to be able to take my time reading it, so put it on hold until november. Once I got around to actually reading it, I Ended up eating it up! Love the writing and the commentary.

The only reason its not a full five stars is that I do wish it did more stuff with the actual plot, I just wasn't happy with how it ended... I felt like it just should have done more. But I did enjoy what it did do. This is a book that I annotated and I ended up highlighting most lines!
