ok, i usually don't give 4 stars for a non-fiction book, but in this case it deserves them. i had to read it for my school and i was sceptical about its size (the other anthropological books were smaller) but all my fears were vanished as soon as i read the first chapter. Easy paced and easy readen is the best book for those who study anthropology but also for those who just want to know about it.

joitain kummallisuuksia, kuten vakuuttelu, että antropologit ei oo nihilistejä. Mut ihan hyvältä vaikuttava yleiskatsaus ja termistöselvitys.

Admitting I had to read this for university, it still was a very interesting book. In an ideal open minded world everyone would read about social anthropology and maybe finally understand that there's nothing wrong in being different because that's just how life is in its essence. I'd go on talking about it, but for now let's just say I really enjoyed reading this book.

This is a textbook for my Cultural Anthropology, but I did enjoy reading it! It was a dense read, but super informative.
