This book read like an episode of Law and Order with a twist like Scandal. It started off slow, but it picked up and the story gelled perfectly at the end. I've read Defending Jacob and it was better, but only because it was great.

This just didn't have the emotional punch and intriguing storyline of Defending Jacob (which, by the way, hit all of Mark's buttons too.) I stopped about 2/3 of the way through.
