Very enjoyable. Almost five stars, except for the gratuitous sex and drugs in the first half.

Starting on her 19th birthday, Oona begins to live her life out of order. On each birthday which happens to be January 1st, she finds herself in a different year however, still, in her body. She has a navigate through Time travel and maintain relationships.

This book was very entertaining and interesting. There are many times I read where I find myself kind of confused with how these time jumps worked chronologically, but things kind of explain themselves as you keep reading.

I feel like Oona is a good protagonist, but I have a love-hate relationship with her. There are many moments where I was just rooting for her and excited about the things happening in her life and there are other times that I just wanted to shake her because she was making dumb ass decisions.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It wasn’t life-changing or anything but I was entertained the whole time and when it ended I definitely kind of wanted more. I wanted to see how she continued to navigate through these time jumps that she does.

I loved this fun take on time travel—like The Time Traveler's Wife meets Sliding Doors meets One Last Stop, maybe? Oona's journey was difficult and confusing for her, but it was also uplifting. She made lots of choices I don't think I would have, but that made it so much more interesting to me! The twists also kept it engaging throughout, and I think it ended at exactly the right moment. Hugely recommend!

Truly enthralling concept and execution. I feel like it's a really good exploration of what it means to be kind to yourself in all iterations, past, present, and future. Knocking off a quarter star because the author does the thing where she only describes a character's race if they are nonwhite, which is annoying.
