<blockquote> "So you're not my servant?" "So you're not my cat?" She raises her brows at me, her expression challenging, even as her voice mocks me. I decide I despise her. <blockquote?

I loved loved loved this book! I really am a fan of these characters and this story and I really hope we expand a TON in this area because I am HOOKED

I love myself a good serial where I can get my daily dose of Ruby and a good story to boot. At this point you know I’m a Rubystan and love all of her books. Risda III is one of my favorite places in the universe besides Not Hoth. So returning to Risda for another book is definitely my jam.

Maeve is lonely. And she does what any lonely extrovert would do. She decided to buy a pet. Just a small cat would be more than fine. But when she gets said cat, it’s definitely a cat. But it’s also a man. A cat man on the run from his life and not a penny to his name. So they make a deal. Zhur follows Maeve’s lead until they can get this all figured out. Only it ends with them getting married. But it’s just a fake marriage right? Right?

Zhur is hilariously pompous and he and Maeve were a hilarious duo. It’s a good feel good romance with just the proper amount of angst and drama. All the while trying to make this fake marriage work so Maeve’s friends don’t ruin everything. 10/10 I loved this.

While Risda III isn't my favourite of the Rubyverse planets, I've enjoyed keeping up with the aliens and humans and their strange relationships.

This was a fun, light read and honestlyz who doesn't love a Prince getting a good slice of humble pie?
