This book kept me engaged. The story was unexpected in the sense the sense that it was not about the holocaust as I thought. It is about family, their secrets, and what it means to be jewish.

wow.... amazing stunning beautiful book, super well organized and easy to follow despite the complexities of different times + people in the story. the translation to english was never clunky and beautifully written.
