Two of the scenes in this book stand out to me more than almost any other in the series (aside from that first glorious entrance into narnia) and they are so indelible in my memory I forgot how relatively short they are in the book as a whole... it took a while for this book to get going but once I stopped having to explain ship terminology to my 6 year old and just went in reading for myself I eventually couldn’t put it down

ok so far this is my 2nd favorite narnia book (first one is the lion the witch and the wardrobe ALWAYS) but i’ve only read like 3 narnia books so far so

I decided to finish reading the Narnia saga at the end of the year. I got stuck after 'Prince Narnia', a book that somehow didn't appeal to me, but The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is a much better story. The adventurous journey combined with the deeper themes of our own life-journey towards our final destination works really well.
