Omg this story was so funny and cute it followed the quarterback sister and one the football player and the funny thing is they hate each other for something they happen when they were really young but as they grew up into adults they both are starting to get feeling for each other but when they get to the wedding everything change with them in goods way and bad ways because you have her brother that don’t want her to have anything to do with his teammates but then you also have a girl that he brought to the wedding to keep his mind off the one person that he couldn’t have but at the end they got a huge surprise they are now expecting a baby and they both are hard head people and now they are having a baby together this should be fun to read.

How is it possible to love this couple so much. Michael has become one of the best book boyfriends ever. Maggie is just the sweetest I absolutely love her.

One thing i really enjoyed about this book was the communication this couple had. They try their hardest to talk things out and work on them. I truly appreciated that about this book.

I can’t wait to get more of this universe Lex has written. She has seriously become one of my one click authors.

The Baby Blitz is Book 3 in the Varsity Dads series by Lex Martin, and is a steamy enemies to lovers/brother’s best friend/surprise baby romance between Maggie and Olly. They grew up together, always at odds and bickering or pulling pranks on each other. But the angst and bluster was a cover for the forbidden feelings they were harboring for each other. In a world full of temptations, obligations, misunderstandings, and other obstacles, can they find a foundation for a lasting relationship?

I went into this book blind, having not read the first two books yet. The world building was great and the other characters are utilized in the book in such a way, I was able to immerse myself comfortably in the story without being confused at all. While I’m now excited to go back and read the other books, it wasn’t required for enjoying this story. I love a good mash up of multiple tropes, and this was a prime example! The book brings angst, drama, emotion, witty banter, and so much scorching passion and love! Olly and Maggie had so many obstacles between them including past and present misunderstandings and mounting pressures from his football aspirations, just to name a few. I love how Olly tries to make Maggie a priority in a swoon worthy way. My only complaint throughout the book was the lack of communication between them at times! I definitely yelled at my iPad once or twice!

Picked this one up after loving the varsity dad dilemma. This book was great! It was really well written, and it was really refreshing to read about 2 average college kids who aren't rich, who have real-life problems, real families, and real relationship problems.
I loved Olly and Maggie's relationship, they where just so young and really trying to learn how to communicate and deal with thir own insecurities and troubles. It felt real. Throw a pregnancy in there and the pressure was on for these 2.
Olly was sweet as hell, maggie was an independent chick with a soft side.
Was NOT a fan of Amelia and her cropping up at important moments like she had a right to be there, or that she ended up with Bash at the end, if that becomes a book im not sure i would read it. But I definitely would read more from this author.

4.5 STARS
Magnolia (Maggie) and Micheal (Olly) are childhood friends to enemies AND she is Michael’s best friends little sister. Throw in a smoking HOT one night stand they indulge in at a wedding and it’s an OOPS! Surprise baby on board romance. Oh, plus Michael is college football player. I do love a good sports romance and this did not disappoint me.
I love these characters so much, they’re interactions have great banter and a lot of incredibly fun, entertaining humor.
Despite their earlier misconceptions and lack of communication about them, the miscommunications don’t continue, they both are fairly mature dealing with the surprise pregnancy, the strange new relationship they are a bit uncertain about and personal issues that cause them concern.
It’s a bit angsty in great ways, I’m a big fan of the push and pull between the couple. Maggie is feisty and Michael is able to keep calm, make jokes AND offer calm and support when needed. He turns out to be so much more of everything good that I wasn’t expecting. He’s such a truly nice, caring guy and Maggie begins to see her former friend for all of his wonderful qualities.
Both are such strong, generous and likable characters.
Their chemistry is HOT and their sexual interactions have a playfulness to them as well as being super sexy.
I completely enjoyed this romance and the characters journey through some really big, unexpected things life threw at them.
All the characters are entertaining. This was such a fun, sexy and sweet story. I love the way these characters pull together and rediscover their deeper feelings towards each other. It’s so enjoyable and it has a great balance of deeper aspects/emotions.

Olly and Magnolia are a fierce five star read!

Olly is really just a beast of a squishmallow and I love that about him! He is so loyal and unwavering and he is so dedicated to helping care for those he loves and those around him. He’s one of the good ones—truly!

Magnolia is fierce and a force all on her own. She’s hardworking, determined and always going to prove to herself and others that she is capable to handle it all completely on her own. She’s also similar to Olly when it comes to caring for those she loves.

These two characters are a great example of how two people who are very similar can be exactly what the other needs in all the right ways. I love that they got their love story!

There was so much to love about this story, the world and the characters—these two are my favorite of the series so far. From start to finish I was pulled in and had a hard time putting the book down. I’ll definitely miss these characters!

Can’t wait to see what Lex brings us next in Second Down Darling.

A CUTIE SPORTS ROMANCE

I love the pregnancy trope and no one will ever make me feel differently. This was a cute take on it. The plot and characters weren’t the most dimensional I’ve ever read but it had all the makings of a fun sports romance. I also think magnolias pregnancy was a very honest and eye opening telling of being pregnant in college (as someone who got pregnant during my junior year). The hardships she went through and the things she had to sacrifice were very real and I admire the hell out of Lex for showing that.

A sweetly adorable, enemies-to-lovers romance. Michael Oliver, or Olly as he's fondly known, was too cute as a baby daddy, but I think what I enjoyed most of all were the pranks that the two of them played over the years. It lead to so much great chemistry.

Michael and Magnolia, or Olly and Maggie, were just too cute together. Their frenemy to lover status was great with tons of tension that was all directed towards building the perfect relationship. Plus, every time things would get close to just about perfect, there was just enough angst to set it off course, but not too much angst to make me want to throw the book across the room, so hence the book was perfect! If you couldn't tell, I loved this story and the world they live in.

I love that each character has real world struggles while dealing with the ramifications of their one night together, along with the fact that they've been enemies for so many years. There is a lot that they can't just brush under the rug and I'm so happy that Lex doesn't allow them to either.

While this is the third book, with a similar theme - surprise baby, each story has been very different. I love that Lex continues books around this baby theme and pulled out so many tropes from the same group of friends. Each new book is addictive and fun to read.

Olly and Magnolia (Maggie)

Olly and Maggie grew up together and she had a crush on him, now they fight anytime they are around each other. Maggie gets asked to be a bridesmaid in Ollys sisters wedding and her room is connected to Ollys. They decide to put their differences aside for one weekend and end up having a one night stand. The next morning something happens and Maggie is back to hating Olly but he can’t do much about it because he doesn’t have her number or any other way to contact her until he gets back to campus. That one night stand they had ends up in a pregnancy with twins.

The protagonists were nice people who were really into each other, had grown up conversations, and were facing a pregnancy with twins while still in university and without much money. There just wasn’t any tension or fantasy wish fulfilment to sink into here.
