This series is funny and is one of the only uses of the "enemies to lovers" trope that I actually liked.     The gender stereotypes are kinda of annoying, but still realistic (specially since this was written in the early 2000's). Risa and Otani's struggle with not being seen as feminine/masculine enough by the people around then and felling like they are less because of it is something that I remember also going through as a teenager (high schoolers can be terrifying). I just wish that by the end of the series they realize that this stereotypes are bull shit.
