This one was a little slower paced than its predecessor but still wonderful. While the first was beautifully fluffy, this one looks a bit closer at the effects trauma has with love and hope. The parallels between real world bigotry and prejudice against magical beings are made exceedingly clear and this book is loud about where it stands on hate in all forms. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
