This book lacks the heart of the first book. I didn’t even like the first book very much, so I’m cutting my losses with this one.

I didn't care for this one as much as the first, but it was still very good and made me cry a few times.

It’s a nice sequel that delves more into the prejudices of society rather than one man. The challenges of trying to enact acting, nationwide change. It’s evoking and cute, but the resolution seemed a little quick. More time was spent on the shenanigans of the children than the actual solution. In fact, the shenanigans didn’t lead to any difference in the characters at all. The trauma living inside you and just growing like a monster was also an interesting point, but had little to no build up that marked it was happening. Everything was shown, consequences made and resolved all in one chapter. I think this is meant to be a cute little story that covers heavy topics while being gentle on the reader. Not exactly my cup of tea (I guess I’m a glutton for punishment), but an overall decent read.
