adventurous challenging emotional tense medium-paced

رواية مشوقة جداااااااا 😍😍
حبكة رائعة و نهاية غير متوقعة بتاتا 😍 احببتها احببتها 📚😍

I have been having a lot of luck with library books lately and [b:Central Park|54492667|Central Park|Guillaume Musso|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1611184691l/54492667._SX50_.jpg|40783433] by [a:Guillaume Musso|282080|Guillaume Musso|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1487686506p2/282080.jpg] is another one to add to the list! This has such a spectacular start with Alice waking up handcuffed to a man in Central Park, and I can tell you it only gets better from there. I marked this as a slow burn, but it is very pacy and doesn't really feel like one. For being translated from French, I would never know, and the translation is just impeccable. I listened to the audiobook and for that, I was grateful since there is no way I would have pronounced most of the names correctly. There are plenty of surprises throughout the novel, but the biggest reveal truly shocked me, and I had zero idea it was coming. I am also a huge fan of closure in novels and while I don't necessarily need a happy ending, I like things a certain way and was happy to get it from this book.

The audiobook was very well done with Stephanie Willis as the narrator. I was actually questioning whether she was French because she did so well with the accents and pronunciations, which is clearly a great sign! Central Park is told mainly from Alice's perspective as well as having chapters where she remembers certain things, and this style of writing kept me very engaged in the story as well as keeping me guessing the entire time. I really wish more of Musso's novels were out in the US because I was just blown away by his writing and the way he had me completely fooled. I did see [b:The Reunion|48717402|The Reunion|Guillaume Musso|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1590445500l/48717402._SX50_.jpg|59761680] came out here last year and you better believe I will be snagging that ASAP. If you are a thriller lover and want something different, Central Park needs to be at the top of your list.

I am usually not a thriller reader at all but even then I found that one really bad. I found the plot twist dreadful and it ruined the whole book for me.

Ok I honestly thought this was going to be a 2/5 but the last 70 pages got me.

The book starts with painting this main character that i found profoundly irritating and the intrigue is non-sense and still is at the end of the book ,BUT , i found myself pulled by the intrigue sometimes and i'm glad some sensitive subjects popped up.

(Spoiler Alert)

I'm not sure i liked the romantic side of it ...
