The Last Party certainly threw me for a loop! It was not at all what I was expecting to read about. These characters were crazy!! The author really went “there” with the fast-paced thriller components, wicked twists and wild dysfunction and… I like that!!
I listened to the audiobook which was very well done! It took me a minute to lock into the story, but when I did, it was full speed ahead!

I have to say I’m a little disappointed with this. I think I was overhyped for it. I did enjoy the premise and how crazy Perla was. After a while, though, the story just felt like it dragged on with not much happening. Overall, an entertaining story, but not one that lived up to the hype for me.

⭐️5. This was just… wow. so much to unpack with this one. I can’t even put it in to words. I loved it. This is what I call a suspenseful psychological thriller.

The twist felt predictable which messed with the pace of the book for me. I was eager for the conclusion which was still good even though I had figured it all out.
