What a book. It's not long, 192 pages, and I couldn't put it down. I actually wish I'd listened to the audiobook but Rob Delaney has such a distinctive voice and style to his comedy and writing, I actually felt like I could hear him reading it to me anyway. It's painful and candid and honest and heartbreaking, but it also made me laugh and smile. I really like his writing style, and the way he told the story of his son and his family's journey.

very touching. i am always a sucker for stories involving the love a parent has for a child, which was discussed or portrayed in this book. i cant imagine the amount of pain the author went through and of course i look up to how he handled it all selflessly.

Oh, I wasn't prepared to cry this morning. The writing here is not literary. It is—dare I say—somewhat crass. But it oozes love and sincerity and grief, the big human feelings that are intensified by such a tragedy of losing your son when he's only two.

Reading it has me wanting to give my parents a hug and thank them for loving me unconditionally. For that is all we can offer!

Cried so hard I gave myself a headache. I expected the sadness and pain, but not the humor and beauty also contained within these pages.
