This is about the level of intellectualism I can handle after working from home and helping kids navigate online schooling. Perfect pablum for the brain.

This could be a quick read. Will still be good even if read as a stand-alone.

Darker than the last book, but not in a bad way. Things are a bit more dangerous for Abby this time around, what with the mob after her to help them (and then her trying to refuse, they don't really take 'no' for an answer, heh) and a serial rapist on the loose. Events in this book were more exciting, and harrowing, than the last, which made me like it more. Still pretty light fair all around. Light as in... hm. It's very much a quick read and it's not deep--just something fun. Several things in the book made me rather incredulous, but you don't really read books like this expecting things to be reasonable or realistic, so most of the time I just let it go. I still don't very much like Abby's relationship with Dutch; a lot of the time it seems like her brain falls out of her head whenever she's around him.

Overall, average, again. But I liked it better than the last book.

Though it took me a lot of time to finish this book, I can’t deny that this book had me on edge! I really love how every events are connected to each other or how Abby would eventually foresee the future.

Over all this book is a nice read, I might try another Victoria Laurie book.
