Eine der Geschichten, die mich schon in der Kindheit begleitet hat und ich immer sehr schön fand. Obwohl diese nicht das Happy End hat wie zum Beispiel bei Disneys Meerjungfrau. Habe ich diese Geschichte immer geliebt.

Era un cuento que siempre he querido leer y, de hecho, no me ha decepcionado en absoluto. Desearía que el autor se hubiese explayado más en ciertas escenas que, según mi gusto, carecían de detalles.

I was surprised at how a good part of this was so similar to the Disney movie; however, I feel like the ending was just strange and didn’t quite fit with the rest of the story. It makes me curious if Andersen chose to end it with the mermaid joining the spirits of the air or if this was the choice of one of the translators.

I loved all these Disney books when I was a little kid and today I woke up and said to myself why not reread them! I will always stand by my opinion that you're never too old for kid's books!

I love faerie tales in their original forms. They're so fabulously dismal.
This specific edition of "The Little Mermaid" has beautiful drawings; I love that the little mermaid's hair is raven.
