This was such a fun series to dive into! I have always loved spooky stuff, and when you combine it with a little dry humor, I cannot resist it! When I first requested the audio, I had no idea Another Fine Mess was the second book, so I snagged Bless Your Heart from the library because I couldn't wait to read them. I could not put these books down. They're perfect, spooky but quick reads. Following the fierce Evans women and their funeral parlor, you uncover the mystery alongside them as they each have a different view on the situation and are prepared to keep the dead from rising. The layered POV format kept the story hooked me quickly. The narrator brought life and magic to the world. After the events that wrapped up book 1, I was so happy I had my hands on the second one, but now I am eagerly awaiting book 3 to uncover more secrets about the mysterious past of the Evans family.
