3.5 I thought this one was fun. It is definitely not cozy so don’t go into it thinking that. The cover is very misleading it’s pretty gory and the vamps / creatures are pretty grotesque. I would read the next one for sure.

Fun and campy horror, the 90’s small town vibes were there, I think this would translate well into a tv show because it’s gives very Sabrina the Teenage Witch / Wednesday vibes.
However, it certainly read more YA than adult horror to me and I can’t help but feel it’s maybe been a-bit miss-marketed.

I read this book thinking it would be like Grady Hendrixs' southern book club book. It was kind of like that. In a sense of woman banning together to defeat undead evil. The language was amazing, I could feel the gore moments in my bones. The plot was a little lack luster.
