3 ⭐️ This book was just OK, there was nothing great about it and the story wasn’t terrible, it just wasn’t memorable. I wish it was a little funnier or a little darker, it was this in-between book that wasn’t scary but still had a lot of gore to it. This book reads like any other Souther vampire/zombish type book. I knew exactly how this was going to end and the story was very predictable. It was a book that would be fine to read in between other heavy or stellar reads. I don’t have much to say about it, since I listened to this audiobook, which was also just an okay production. I am not sure I’d recommend this book or have someone go out of their way to read it. I only read it because I received a gifted copy of the sequel, which I will still read but I am not going out of my mind to put that book at the top of my TBR.
