It's been a minute since I read the previous installment of the series, so I felt like I needed to adjust a bit before feeling immersed into the Kingdom Keepers universe again. What I loved about the book, and this last segment of the series, is of course, the time travel element. I just love that the majority of the action that takes place in the parks in this leg of the series is at Disneyland, and not Disneyworld. That park feels like home to me so I can picture it perfectly. I love to think about what Disneyland might have looked like at its inception and that's probably what I say I liked most about this installment.

Other than that, it felt a bit more scattered and all over the place than some of the previous novels. I found myself just breezing over parts that didn't entirely make sense and just going along with the story.

I'm too far into the series to stop now without finishing it. But I hope the last two books pick up a bit of momentum and provide some sort of satisfying closure!

Not as good or entertaining as the original series. Hopefully the last two books in the sequel series are better.

Not bad overall, I am glad they decided to pick up on the deliberately obvious cliffhanger at the end of the other series. But, although I will continue reading the twists and turns, history in a fiction format, it lacks a bit of the magic of the early novels.
Not sure if a like the "crowd sourcing" plot pieces...

Not really sure what is meant by this line in the preview "The Keepers must solve a puzzle of the past, or be crushed under an evil that makes the Overtakers seem like gentle souls." If this is where the series is going, they didn't really tip their hand to that in this book at all. In fact, I was not able to identify a clear villain in this one, just puzzle issues and some rag tag OT, maybe corporate secrets, maybe the origins of the OT? Kind of weird...

Oh my god Ridley Pearson please STOP. This series has gone on too long and while the writing was good in the first few books, it's taken a sharp turn for the worse. The idea to include the writing of fans is an interesting one, yes, and kudos to the fans that got in, but it makes the book clunky. The plot: reiterated, and it doesn't quite capture the magic of Disney anymore. I say this as a person who loves, loves, the Disney parks. I mean, I used to read guidebooks. For fun. I know pretty much every attraction. Last time I went I found my way around without a map because I knew them so well.

Please leave these poor kids alone. Let them move on.

“It’s about time…”
Well, it’s about time I’ve read one of these books and LOVED it. Great storytelling, a great story, and a temporary relief from big battles. I enjoyed that this book has an air or mystery to it while still being set in Disney. Great start to the sequel series!

Let me just say I love the series and I love Ridley Pearson, but did he have to end it as a cliff hanger. I understand that he needs to keep us interested, but he can do that without it ending in a cliff hanger. Don't get me wrong the book was fabulous I just hate cliff hangers. That being said the book was well written and made me want to keep reading it.

You know those books that come along and you wish you would have read it so much sooner than now? This was one of those books for me, especially since I read it start to finish in under 24 hours.
