I find myself less interested in Anne's childrens' adventures than I was with her own. I loved the bits that had Anne but frankly didn't enjoy this book as much as the last ones.
Still a well written story as ever!

Still fun at times but Anne was more fun than her kids.

This one was hard to get through just because Anne wasn’t herself anymore and Susan Baker just felt like yet another iteration of all the gossipy housekeeper types in all the previous books

Like comfort food on pages!

I especially loved threaded way Anne nurtures her children & keeps their imaginations active. I knowAnne is fictional but what a terrific mama she is.
