This one is full of stories about Anne's six living children. It reads much like a collection of short stories about the children mainly. It ends with the cover copy's promised relationship troubles that are all a misunderstanding. Anne raised children just like her. Cute and lyrical but not my favorite.

This book, although still containing the charm and magic I’ve come to expect from L.M. Montgomery, was something of a small disappointment for me, as the story drifts away from Anne to focus more on the Ingleside children. I missed her, and sometimes felt like she’s become more and more a side character in her own series.
I feel like the main conflict (Anne thinking Gilbert doesn’t love her anymore) should have been introduced much earlier, both to balance out all the kids’stories and to give it more depth and substance (and a better arc for Anne), because I enjoyed seeing our beloved redhead come to terms with a new chapter of womanhood and family life, and I think this path should have been explored more thoroughly without the spotlight being constantly given to the children.

This book in the series isn’t as exciting as the others previous to it. I think the reason for that is because they want to establish the children as actual characters. That’s one thing that I did like. I adored Anne’s kids. They were all different versions of Anne when she was younger.
The problem with this book is that although it’s called ‘Anne of Ingleside’, Anne feels like she’s becoming a secondary character. Whilst I enjoyed reading about the children, I missed Anne.

Kolejna książka o Ani, którą pochłonęłam z wielką przyjemnością. Hmm właściwie powieść skupiała się na dzieciach dziewczyny. Montgomery jest mistrzynią kreowania postaci i miejsc, więc i tym razem wyszło wspaniałe. Złoty Brzeg to cieplutki dom położony wśród przepięknej natury, która zawsze odgrywała ważną rolę w tej serii. Każde dziecko Ani i Gilberta jest czarujące. Nie są to bohaterowie wyidealizowani, ale obdarzeni ogromną miłością. Jim, Walter, Nan, Di, Shirley i Rilla to osoby o różnych charakterach, jednak zawsze się wspierają i kochają. Nie ma tutaj postaci mało wyraźnej albo pomijanej, każdy obdarzony został interesującymi cechami i zainteresowaniami. Czytanie o tych dzieciach było magiczne i cudownie było wracać do nich w wolnej chwili odrywając się od rzeczywistości. Te młode osoby wniosły radość, energię i werwę. W książce pokazano jakie wartości są najważniejsze - przyjaźń, rodzina i wsparcie. Sama Ania to wspaniała mama i taka dobra dusza tej książki. Pod koniec poświecono jej więcej uwagi i te ostatnie strony były nieznacznie gorsze od pozostałej części książki. Ania była tam jakby we śnie, zachowywała się jak kompletnie nie ona. Ostatni rozdział był jednak wspaniałym zwieńczeniem i warto było troszkę podenerwować się na Anię dla tego zakończenia. Wzruszyło i pokazało cudowną relację dziewczyny z Gilbertem. Jak zwykle polecam, nie zawiedziecie się z całą pewnością.
