Anne's children are not as interesting as Anne, but okay book for the series.  This book was also written after the rest of the series, so there is some foreshadowing.

Anne’s a mother of six. SIX! After moving from the house of dreams to the much larger Ingleside, we are introduced to each of her children as well as the overall family dynamics. As the family grows and her children take focus, Anne fades into the background. We still see some chapters that are more focused on her, but most of the book is told from the perspective of her children and their community.

It’s probably important to point out that this is another book that was released much later (even later than its sequels) and it’s generally believed that L. M. Montgomery wasn’t interested in more Anne’s books. Similar to Anne of Windy Poplars, we are back to the more episodic nature and most chapters are self-contained children adventures.

For the reasons above, as you can imagine, this book is liked less by the community. Still, I like to revisit it occasionally for its wholesomeness.

My least favorite of the series. The story isn't about Anne. And I was surprised and disappointed at how snobbish the Blythe clan had become

2.75⭐️??? I love Anne and Gilbert but I can’t bring myself to care about their children or marital problems.
