I think this is a very cleverly written book. The imagination of all the creatures and beasts is really clever. I love the Harry Potter books and started them when the first book was released, and I had heard of most of the creatures talked about in the book. I have also seen the film that is base on this book and as always preferred the book however, it was a pretty good adaptation.

Eddie Redmayne reading this is brilliant, having watched the film first, I could really imagine his character while he was reading.

I love to delve into someone else's imagination, as you do with all fiction really but when it's YA Fantasy or Fantasy you really get a sense of how imaginative someone is. Absolutely loved this and it was a nice short book too.

The book is supposed to be a Textbook that students would have at Hogwarts. The problem is, that's exactly how it reads. As a textbook. It's basically a list of beasts with cute little descriptions about them. It's not a large book, but it gets tedious and I found myself skimming rather than reading. The only truly engaging parts are the Forward and the Introduction. Downhill from there.

This is a textbook, definitely not a novel, but I quite enjoyed reading about the different creatures of the magical world.

Did I really just listen to a 2 hour audiobook in 1 time speed only so I could hear Eddie Redmayne’s calming voice for that long? Yes?

As for the book itself, just like with the other books in the Hogwarts library collection, it’s full of charming yet un-life changing uninteresting information. Loved all of the Newt bits tho.

This is book is sort of a textbook of beasts and beings. It's a lovely reading as is evokes various images in your head how one or other should look like or looked like in movies.. And it's a great laugh in most of parts. Short, funny and recommended for HP fans.
