HALLOW BE THE HAUNT: A Krewe of Hunters Novella by Heather Graham

It's Halloween in New Orleans and Jake and Ashley Mallory are visiting Donegal Plantation, Ashley's childhood home. They're at the grand old home to plan their wedding but when Ashley begins dreaming of a ghost, Jake (an agent in the Krewe of Hunters) realizes that there's more going on in NOLA than meets the eye.

I'll admit it's been awhile since I've read anything by Heather Graham so I was super excited to get back to this extraordinary paranormal world! This one kind of reminded me of a cozy murder mystery, it had that small hometown feel and although there's romance between Jake and Ashley, it's really not the main focus of the book. I definitely enjoyed the intrigue and the mystery and the ghostly twist were fun but I also felt like the writing was a bit "old fashioned," almost too formal at times. Maybe I'm just used to reading a more lackadaisical type of romance?!? Anyway, I'm rating this story 4 stars!

NO RESERVATIONS: A Fusion Novella by Kristen Proby

Chase MacKenzie and Maura Jenkins have known each other for a few years but they're not exactly best friends. After a night of drinks with mutual friends, Maura and Chase find that they don't need to be friends in order to have amazing sex.

Kristen Proby is a master at writing stories that capture your attention and I found myself quickly getting sucked into this shortie. Chase and Maura had a lot more in common than they originally believed and it was fun to watch these two stubborn characters come to the realization that love has a funny way of sneaking up on you when you least expect it. This was a steamy one! I gave this book 5 stars.

Overall, I think there's something to enjoy in this bundle for anyone who loves romance and it's definitely worth picking up. Told from multiple POVs with various happy endings. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
