This really felt like a classic detective novel—Detective Kaga unravels the case through small details and conversations. I actually enjoyed this one more than Malice. The murderer wasn’t easy to predict, which made the reveal all the more satisfying. I also listened to the audiobook read by P. J. Ochlan, who did a fantastic job bringing the story to life.

The mystery was built upon exploring each character's interactions and secrets, which was nice. I don't have much to say aside from the fact that I derived joy telling my friends that a spinning top was important to solving the case.
