Huhuhu.. sedih, senang, haru semuanya campur aduk jadi satu.

Kecerdasan Detektif Kaga benar-benar bikin aku amazed!

Can stories be woven like intricate tapestries?
Yes, & Keigo Higashino does it masterfully.

The book unfolds like a puzzle, with each chapter revealing a new piece. The plot unravels gradually, pulling the reader in deeper as the mystery becomes more layered and compelling. Higashino’s attention to detail and the completeness of each narrative thread make this not just a whodunnit, but an experience.
Giles Murray deserves credit for the smooth and thoughtful translation. The beauty, rhythm, and intricacy of the original seem well preserved, which is rare.
The story itself reminds one of the butterfly effect. How a seemingly small action can ripple across the fabric of space and time. It’s a graceful portray of how interconnected our lives truly are, and how every little act inevitably leaves an imprint on others.
Highly recommended for fans of intelligent mysteries, psychological depth, and elegant storytelling.

i was hoping for the legit plot twist like what keigo offered me on Malice, but if you're a detail-oriented/perfectionist/VERY observant/easily falls into slice of life stories (me THAT'S ME) you're gonna like this book.

Detective Kyoichiro Kaga (Book 2 in the series) of the Tokyo Police Department is transferred to a new precinct in the Nihonbashi area of Tokyo. He is assigned to investigate the murder of a woman. As he investigates, he discovers a greater number of potential suspects, and it seems nearly all the people living and working in the business district of Nihonbashi have a motive for the murder.

A whodunit told from the perspective of different witnesses, exploring their lives and the little mysteries in them while inching slowly towards uncovering the mystery of the original crime.

After the 4th or 5th witness story, it made me not care as much about them but only look forward to parts where the detective comes in to talk to them.

Not a page turner for me, but if you like a slow paced mystery, you will enjoy this.
