Another enjoyable story by Lily Morton. I liked reading about cool, buttoned-up John's growing awareness of his attraction to Matt. John had never been attracted to men, and even now, it's only Matt he feels interested in. This is a nice story of bi-awakening, and about a man who never really had a grand passion in life before.

Lily's first published MM and, while I know friends weren't as keen, I actually enjoyed it.

Not quite as much snark as her later books but still enough humour that I found myself sniggering a lot while reading.

A bit sweet, a lot steamy, not too much angst and although the dreaded "misunderstanding/miscommunication" trope reared its head, at least Matt did try at the time to do something about it.

As grand gestures go, I thought the final couple of chapters were utterly fab.

3.5* but I did enjoy so gets the GR bump up
I found it easy to read.
Matt - felt I didn't get to know him as much as John - whilst it was alt poe, I come away feeling John had the lions share. We get a bit of history re family and band of brothers.
John - moves from uptight lawyer to relaxed dude in France. Gradually feels more and more for Matt, though the 2 steps forward, one back gets a bit old.
We had the good secondaries with the band and John's secretary (though very background) and the baddies with ex's of both showing up and no one standing up to them.
But eventually all comes together, lots of sex, and a smushie ending
