Отличная книга - видимо, секрет с одной стороны, в литературном таланте автора.
А с другой - в его искренней любви к своей профессии.
Не скажу, что эта книга изменила мое скептическое отношение к этой области, но когда читаешь книги настоящих энтузиастов, это всегда интересно.
И какой занятный сюжет - книжка читается на одном дыхании.

Удивительно - через 10 лет я вообще не смог осилить это до конца.
Возможно, я был не в настроение для подобной литературы, но мне книга показалось примитивной и самокопательской..

Что уж удивляться противоположным отзывам, если один и тот же человек столь по разному книгу воспринимает.

С другой стороны, это явно говорит о ее нетривиальности.
Сейчас я бы поставил две звездочки, но оставлю в связи с этим соображением мою изначальную оценку

I’m not sure what to make of this book. The writing was great, the story line was very unique - unlike anything I’ve read previously. I’m struggling to find the take home message of it though. Maybe there are just too many things to take from it that makes it hard to distill into a few key pieces.

Ce-mi rămâne altceva de făcut decât să devin psihoterapeut? Cartea mi-a plăcut mult, foarte mult, atât de mult încât am dat comandă și de alte cărți de-ale lui, cărți pe care le-ar citi doar cei care au treabă cu psihoterapia. Dar mie mi-a plăcut prea mult ideea de a-mi fi propriul psihoterapeut ca să nu fac cercetări pe tema asta. în mod sigur nu aș fi în stare să fac din asta o profesie și cu atât mai puțin o ocupație.
În ciuda faptului că, din punct de vedere literar, nu mi-a plăcut atât de mult ca Plânsul lui Nietzsche, cred că pe viitor cartea asta va avea un impact mult mai mare asupra mea.
