This should be required reading for all students. An essential guide to how we are regularly misled by politicians, media institutions and hucksters, and how to critically assess scientific claims of every colour.
funny informative fast-paced

Clever and laugh-out-loud funny. Apart from the bit about Brain Gym. Which was much funnier.

This book is a very complete and true observation of scientific writing and the many frustrating emotions that honest scientists have to face in a world that values likes and dollars more than peoples lives. I found this book to be both depressing and inspiring in its description of where we are and where we are going. Ben combines with wit with his sharpness to give the book a good balance of humour and seriousness. This book is recommended to absolutely everyone. It's too relevant to not be read.
