Good perspectives on feminism and violence against women in all its forms. I take issue with a small few observations, but generally agreed with it all. I would recommend this for people looking for a good springboard into feminism/violence against women or for a refresher on the subjects. It sums up the modern struggle for equality in ways I didn't even know I needed explained to me, since this stuff is engrained in my brain as a woman. For example, she talks about speaking out online. I don't really do this, out of fear of getting trolled in violent ways. I've never named that for myself, but it's there, and it was refreshing to see it as part of the modern feminist discourse.
A wonderful collection of essays, both depressing and hopeful in turn.
Lots of valid points and interesting perspectives. Personally there were a lot of spots where I dazed out and it felt like reading a textbook.

very 2014, very surface-level, feminism fighting for its very fundamentals in the pre-me-too era. I liked "grandmother spider" the best out of the collection.

wish i could give half stars!! 3.5 i think. enjoyable and a very quick read - only lasted five of the seven hours of my shift - but nothing really groundbreaking for anyone who is familiar with any feminist reading. probably wasted on women…men should read this.
