A serious and wonderful book for religious (not just orthodox) Jews questioning Zionism. The essay "Has Zionism Exhausted Itself?" is so smart. Some of the other essays are not as strong--an essay on anti-Semitism suffers from Magid's lack of expertise on racism--but overall a great gift for your friends and relatives who care about Israel but are troubled by militarism and racism and are looking for a Jewish, even frum, way to think about that.
