This is probably my favorite arc throughout the entire anime. And I absolutely do ship Eren and Historia, I wish more people did as well, just so I had more Erem x Historia content to consume

Ymir makes an important Cameo, glad to see Historia take ownership of he life.

Eren seems a lot more tragic this read through.

(The read dates are weird because I read this one as the chapters were released)

I feel like we are finally getting somewhere. Now if we could only get to Eren's basement. I like that this one as more about the plot while still being about the characters. I think it had a good balance of Things Are Happening and Characters Are Being Developed, which is actually a pretty hard balance when writing. I really like Historia in this one (I've been calling her Krista in my other reviews so that there was no spoilers but ... it's in the summary so I'm stopping that) because she is starting to feel more real. Everyone wants to survive: that is human nature. So it is nice to start to see this theme coming across in the actual writing and the decisions of the characters. I think there needs to be more development of the fact that
Spoilersome family lines didn't have their memories altered (so really just Levi and Mikasa)
because that seemed to be thrown in there very quickly without ever really being developed. I think one of the things I really like about this series is that while it takes itself seriously, it also throws in some jokes here and there. I'm almost caught up to where I was before I accidentally stopped reading chapter updates!

"Wasn't someone singing once about the day that man would stop fighting man? When will that be?"

"Conflict between men will become impossible only when mankind is reduced to one person or less."
