so the binge reading of this series has begun. i will never be the same, i just know it. this book had me blushing, kicking my feet, screaming, crying, puking and i already know it's not going to get better with the rest of the series. this is going to be a beautifully painful journey and i'm here for it.

this book was such a sweet little novella to give us a glimpse into Lily's life while Lo is in rehab. they're attached to the hip so now Lily has to figure out how to live life without turning to Lo at every second. the co-dependency is real.

"our i love you's encompass years of heartache, of hurt, of laughter and pain. and every time we say those words, i feel the rush of our childhood. i couldn't imagine ever losing that." be right back while i shout into the void.

the way Lily and Lo talk about each other like the other person hung the fucking moon makes my chest physically hurt. i will never be the same. Lily is beyond terrified that once Lo is sober, he will realize what a burden she is with her addiction but the fact of the matter is -- Lo stuck by her at her absolute worst, he's going to continue to stick by her side through her best. watching her struggle with her addiction and really see how deep her self-loathing ran made me cry. i just wanted to hug her and remind her everything would be okay. but then Lo would do it for me and then i'd just cry more. all lily wanted was lo, but she knew they both needed this, that they both needed to be apart so they can be in a healthy relationship. them realizing that all they were doing was hurting one another and enabling each others addictions literally made me sob.

“how do i bear the hurt of being so lonely without hating myself at the same time?” STOP IT RIGHT NOW.

“hope. that’s all i have to go on right now. it’s my driving force. it’s literally what keeps me standing.” i'm so beyond proud of Lily for not letting her fears stop her from reaching her goals and for never giving up even when it was all she wanted to do. i truly cannot wait to see her growth and to see Lo's growth and watch them blossom into beautiful human beings

I truly am so invested in these characters!
I didn’t LOVE this one as much as the first - I think because I am just really wanting more of Lo but i liked seeing Lily work toward helping herself.

I loved seeing more Daisy and Ryker & i think that they’re going to be SPICY when i get to their book.

I can’t wait to see where we go with Lily and Lo next. I am so invested and connected to them that i feel like i’m cheering them on like they’re my own family.

Krista & Becca Ritchie really know how to write characters that you just really get invested in. I love the way they write!

Yawn. Lo goes to rehab and Lily endlessly touches herself and bites her nails 🤮 I’m only continuing this series to see what happens with Connor.
