It's meh...definitely dark and twisty and messed up. I got through that and was struggling to get through part 2 of the book. It wasn't great. It was boring and slow and repetitive. I got to page 498 and questioned how there were 200 pages left, then took several months off to try to get back into it. It was hard. I finished it and just honestly should have DNF'd. But ugh I was so close yet so far away!

I honestly couldn’t stomach this book. The graphic depictions of

rape, trafficking and assault

were far too much for me to handle, and that’s as someone who usually has a strong stomach for things like that.

The first half of this book is very intense so please read the warnings and take it seriously. The second half I really enjoyed! I never thought I would enjoy dark romance like this but I do.
