On the day the seventh child was born, the Devil came to them with curses. Each one representing the seven deadly sins.
If you aren’t interested in reading the book after that little snippet of the prologue, then you are all beyond help lol.

A smashing NTMA is always a win.

Sebastian you sleepy sloth you are where we shall begin….

Characters & Chemistry.

Sebastian Reaper eldest son to the Grim Reaper carries the sin and curse of Sloth. He is always drained. Always. He falls asleep at the most inopportune times.

In my head, I could hear my asshole siblings yelling what they always did when this happened, Reaper down! Reaper down! Reaper –

I love Sebastian he is absolutely hilarious, he is loyal, he is protective, and his randomness is endearing. He is adorable in all is sleepy glory.

Isabella Wen a witch and something other, something she calls the darkness is on the run. She trusts no one until a certain reaper “befriends” her.

I like Izzie admittedly not as much as Sebastian but that is a contest no one would win. I did find her somewhat irritating at times as it was all woes me when it came to the darkness.
The chemistry between these two is strong and although there is attraction. Trust must be earned.

“And then, when you trust me, we can discuss the no touching.” “Really?” Unbelievable. “This is a serious problem among friends. Friends touch.” I bit back a groan as he started on the touching thing again. “You don’t befriend someone just, so you can touch them.” “This friendship’s special. Just let me touch you and you’ll get that little zap that tells you how important it is for us to be friends.”

These two are fantastic together and seeing as I’m on a self-imposed sex reading ban this truly did work for me. Isabella is Sebastian’s little juice box. Her darkness is also attracted to him.

Writing, Plot & Pace.

It is the beginning of the end. Unless the reapers can stop it.

Izzie was sold at a very young age to a cruel entity that has since her 10th birthday infected her with darkness. The past ten years she has managed to live in the human world and keep a low profile. That is until an accident with a supernatural being occurs. Before she goes on the run she trips over a reaper. But not just any reaper. Sloth.

The expression I’d given him must have been funny because he burst into deep, rumbling laughter. Then he stopped abruptly, his entire body falling. His face landed on top of my legs, his nosed pressed between my thighs. I stiffened and flushed with embarrassment all at once.

Full of imps and ogres and an entity out to rule the Underworld. The entity will send everything he has after Isabella. He wants her back. She wants to leave because the entity wants her exactly where she is, but she can’t leave Sebastian. She is meant to harvest something.

The author knows how to write a fantastic plot with gripping characters and three-dimensional characters. I had a blast with this book and a riot getting to know the whole reaper family. The pace was just right including the right amount of action and the balance with the story buildup and the characters interaction.

Verdict.

A must read in my opinion I can not wait for the other siblings/sins to get their books. I have Grim’s book to read as well. Bravo Ms. Gross. I loved every moment of it.

Next up is Maureen as a Pride.
The others are;
Wrath – Barron, Greed – August, Lust – Prudence, Envy – Joy, Gluttony – Kitty (Kara)

Loved it

Absolutely loved this book and the characters I have completely fallen in love with. You feel your right there with everything happening. That you are on the edge of your seat. It has lots of fluff, fighting, plot and laughter throughout. Definitely going to get the next book and read it straight away.

Arc Book Review

I really enjoyed this like so much from the second I picked this up I was invested and enthralled.
"Bewitching Sloth" is a fantastic start to an imaginative new paranormal series that focus on the seven sins.
These sins have been bestowed on the children of the Grim Reaper.
Seven siblings each carrying an individual stain gifted by the devil himself.
This first instalment we join Isabella Wen; a powerful witch who just happens to be on the run from an evil entity and Sebastian Reaper oldest son and keeper of Sloth.
From the onset here we are flung right into the action, in fact, this was manic from the first page.
With incredible one-liners, fantastic world building and incredible humour, this book delivers on all fronts.
Overall this was such an easy read with extremely likeable characters and as an added bonus the side cast was also exceptionally intriguing also; I can honestly say Im looking forward to each and every story that was hinted at here.
"Bewitching Sloth" set the stage here so nicely for the unfolding drama and I am already its avid audience.
I really can't wait to see what this series is going to bring to the table.
This one's a no-brainer for me; Read it, you definitely won't be disappointed; I guarantee you this.
Five very well deserved Stars.
Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC of "Bewitching Sloth (Seven Deadly Book 1)" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions are entirely my own.
