So boring! Lord 😩 I tired so hard to like this book because I am a fan of this author. So when I saw this book in a charity shop, I purchased it without a thought. What a let down. A story about Monica a woman’s looking to link with her birth family and the so called suspense related to this. No suspense at all. I couldn’t connect with her character or any other character. I finished this book because I find it hard to not finish a book when I start. Wow... I need to try out new authors instead of idealising my previously loved authors.

Quite good. Not as predictable as some of MHC's books that I've read lately.

This was one of my least favorite books by Mary Higgins Clark. I found it to be slightly confusing and hard to understand in the beginning, and by the time it started to make sense I was uninterested. I was very disappointed, as MHC is one of my all-time favorite writers.

Not my all time favorite of hers, but still worth the read.

Very predictable, and kind of choppy. It was OK, but not great. The concept sounded great when I read about it, but I was disappointed.

I was not bored while reading this book and even though it was always rather clear who were the bad guys I wanted the best for Monica and so kept on reading. What I really really disliked where the inner dialogues of different characters, like they were talking directly to the reader, telling the story. It really doesn't fit for this genre. The translation I read was also quite bad with some really awkward sentences.

An interesting book with some great characters. Not my usual sort of book but I enjoyed.
