This book taught me more about history than our textbooks . I absolutely enjoyed reading it.

(though the font size could have been better...)

"Persepolis" is poignant, intelligent, and sensitive. It acquaints readers with the complex history of Iran while seamlessly weaving through a coming-of-age narrative and discussions of cultural identity. Marjane is an incredibly strong person.

A poignant and truly human story of rebellion, and how feelings of isolation and loneliness can permeate any culture.
