I definitely think this is the best out of the trilogy!!! So much plot And intricate workings. Various times I was absolutely thrown by something I wasn't expecting but loved the way it all worked out for the ending! I was annoyed by some people's endings while being glad for others, and I was thankful to not just have a blanketed "happy ending" as this felt like a real ending.

Took me waaay longer than necessary to finish this one. Being out of the Scholomance at the start made it feel different, and slightly harder to get into. However, once things started picking up it got really good. It had great plotting, and more of the excellent character interactions that made me fall in love with the first two books. A fantastic finish to the trilogy.

What a elegant turn in the plot. I appreciated the simplicity of it. Through I felt less attached to the characters than I did in the previous books. It was a satisfying ending to the series.

I think there were a a lot of storylines at the same time going on, which usually goes very wrong, but Novik managed to make it work and add some fun plot twists as well :). The biggest plot twist was predictable unfortunately but that does not change the fact that it was a lovely book. This is my least favourite of the trilogy but still, I enjoyed it a lot.

As for the translation, there were parts where due to translation it was a bit confusing to read, but as always if I start a series in one language I cannot finish it in another.
