Popsugar 24/50: a book with unconventional chapters. This is a lovely collection of poems divided into five sections: wilting, falling, rooting, rising, and blooming. My personal favorite were the poems in the blooming section. More happy and positive outlook.

There were a few poems I really liked, but many of them read like glorified, stereotypical self-help mantras. I did really like the accompanying sketches, though! Fun addition.
i still think milk and honey was perfect, but this was amazing too. the story is so meaningful and strong and honestly it blows my mind a little bit that such short poems can have such a huge impact. I connected with a lot of poems in here, and saw not only myself in them, but my family as well. though i have to admit, milk and honey will always been something entirely different for me. regardless, this was still beautiful, and it’s a story that deserves to be shared and acknowledged.

At times there where beautiful and thought provoking poems, but overall I thought it was a bit messy and a lot of the poems felt randomly tossed in and lazy. Loved the artwork though.
This book is the second collection of poetry following the fantastic Milk And Honey that I read earlier on in the year. Divided into 5 chapters - Wilting, Falling, Rooting, Rising and Blooming ✨ The poetry is stunning and deep. It’s relatable and brings tears to your eyes. Fantastic collection of poetry and I’ll definitely be reading though them again in the future.

"yesterday when i woke up the sun fell to the ground and rolled away flowers beheaded themselves all that’s left alive here is me and i barely feel like living"
"it was when i stopped searching for home within others and lifted the foundations of home within myself i found there were no roots more intimate than those between a mind and body that have decided to be whole"

Wonderful, heart-wrenching, beautiful prose. Just like her other book, I felt privileged to read it, particularly at a time in my life where a lot of her poems echoed feelings I've been having. I look forward to reading it over and over again.
