I really liked this collection of poems. Some of the writings hit me hard in the feels and mind. Others not so much. Many people debate whether Miss Kaur’s writings are even poetry. I don’t have an answer to that but I will say her writings make me feel and think. That’s all I can ask for anyone’s writing to do.

I didn't relate to this one & feel as connected to it as I did with Milk & Honey, but I really loved the feminist & self-love aspects of this poetry book!

I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. It was the right mix of one liners, longer poems and short. I felt like I related to quite a bit in this book. Even when the poems were about other things, I was able to connect them to things in my own life.
This was a line in one of her poems,
"it takes monsters to steal souls
and fighters to reclaim them"
and it just spoke to me about things going on in my own life. I loved this book. I love how she can take so few words and make them like mountains. Her small poems let you feel your own words in the emptiness of the pages. You can feel your own feelings in the white of the pages.
This is one of my favorite books now. I can't wait to read the next one.
