This is my second friend. Katee Roberts book, and in my opinion, the friend-to-lover aspect is better than the smut, unlike where it was opposite in gifting me to his best friend. Drew and Avery made me believe they were actually best friends, unlike three people wanting sex. I like this for the friends-to-lovers trope, but the baby trope isn't for me, and the grandfather ruined the book for me. I understand that all people don't come from happy homes, but his negativity was bringing down the whole book. I am also happy that Alexis found out what she needed to heal from the verbal abuse of her grandfather and from not being able to have kids.

I loved the premise of this and it really was a fun read. I love Katee Robert’s books so much for an emotional, sexy time. I’m also interested in other stories, especially Alexis’ after meeting the other characters. All around this was a fun friends to lovers romance!
