This is a simple story that follows a young child and the entity that is protecting her. In a worled where you can be cursed by a touch, this child is head at arms length with the promise that her aunt will come gather her. I loved the art style of this series so far. It's scratchy, yet light. It sets the tone very nicely with each scene. You can feel the tension of the entity that's keeping her hostage, away from others like himself, even without detailed expressions. Secrets are still unfolding as I realized that there's a reason she's with this mysterious being. The story is very atmospheric, but I think that prevents the story from moving a little faster.
