Still on the fence. It looks like DC may be leading us down the it's a dream/spell route to undo the abomination that was New 52 with it's un-empowering bastards and disappointing superhuman romance, but I'm reserving judgment due to how disappointing the last 'rebirth' was.

Don't like the art that much, also, I mostly just feel confused.

This was my first introduction to reading Wonder Woman other than reading any of the Justice League titles I have read. For my first introduction to her, I enjoyed my time. It was a bit confusing because "Rebirth" is happening right now and I didn't know how the last volume of the New 52 arc ended, so I was a bit confused as to where we were in the story and what they were referencing. However, I did enjoy it and was able to pick up on the main plot. I think the ending was a nice dramatic effect, as I will probably soon go out and buy the second volume so I can read what happens next.

Ultimately glad I picked this up and gave her a chance. I wasn't always the biggest fan of her, she was my least favorite along with Superman, but after reading this and watching the Wonder Woman film, she is no longer at the bottom of the totem pole for that ranking.

I thought the story was great. It was interesting to see WW like this, separated from Steve and unsure of herself. I felt like the story moved quick, sometimes a bit too quick, but it was never dull. I was unable to put it down, and was happy to see Cheetah make an appearance. The images were incredible! I loved how they could make her eyes soft, yet her body defensive. I loved the story, looking forward to the next one.

I liked the art (flat boots with no stilettos, yay!) and the basic storyline - 4 stars.

But there was a lot of ancillary information one just had to have to understand what exactly was going on - like what's up with the lady in charge? Who's this Cheetah person? - 3 stars.

Read for the Graphic Novel Book group at my store.

Interesting but not great. Wonder Woman can’t find her way home.

Wonder. Woman. I remember believing that ‘wonder’ meant ‘awe’. That the name they gave me spoke of admiration. Perhaps it did, once. But the story keeps changing.

The first casualty of war is truth.
