It was an amazing amalgam of betrayal, love, and finding yourself. I really enjoyed the book. The spice was off the charts, and the plot twists were amazing. The characters were amazing.

Naomi was a strong and witty woman who stood her ground wherever she could and tried to maintain peace above all else.

The guys were all so sweet and hot and such alphas. I enjoyed their individual traits and the way they were absolutely devoted to Naomi.

But I felt like I couldn't get into it as much as I thought I would. I don't know if I'll read the other books when they come but who knows, maybe I will. I know it was an ARC but I still think it could've been better? But that's just me. I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy it.

Recommended to people who like MC RH storyline.

it’s like a dark romance hallmark movie

Naomi is engaged to her high school sweetheart, Gordon, but when her father is taken hostage by a local gang she offers to trade herself for her father. While waiting for her fiancé to find her she uncovers more secrets about her relationship that has her leaning away from the life she was taken from and toward the men that took her.

It was predictable, if you want to read a book that falls into a lot of the cliche dark romance tropes you might enjoy it. I found the timing of events to be awkward and would roll my eyes a bit here and there because it was exactly what I said. Predictable.

It’s hard when there are a lot of books out there in the dark romance, mafia/gang, reverse harem world that do a really good job of engaging readers and unfortunately this one was just ok. It involved very little thinking, the author pretty much spells out exactly what’s happening while it’s happening. At times I couldn’t even decide if I liked the FMC, she had some good moments and then she had a lot of what are you going moments that didn’t make sense to me.

I’m trying not to be too harsh because I know many books follow a lot of the same tropes and plot lines but this just felt different. Sort of like it was too obvious what would happen next or super cliche.

Twisted Metal - Twisted Intentions Book #1 - Review

Couple: Naomi with Dutch, Trooper and Range

Author: Savannah Rylan

Tropes: RH, dark romance, MC romance, biker romance, innocent FMC, morally grey MMCs

Review: Savannah creates an imperfectly perfect, dark MC clubhouse, world and setting in this first book of the series. Each character is flawed and shows their flaws in the chapters from their POV.

Naomi, Dutch, Trooper and Range are four vastly different people who bring out the best in each other in different ways. While the three touch MC men try to come off as mean and rough around the edges, we learn how soft they are as people.

This book does touch on topics that may trigger readers so if dark reads are typically not for you then I would advise to pay caution to the triggers the author lists. While the book does have triggers, it is also an awesome read.

Of the four, Dutch is my favorite character. He is such a wonderful combination of contradictions and is also humorous. I felt like Dutch was the under dog in the group and was not understood much by his friends but found it in Naomi and all her darkness.

I truly enjoyed how they supported her and kept her safe when events were found out about her fiancé and home life. I also was so angry and how we did not meet her father until the end.

This book has just the right amount of heat to it and makes for a great read if you are new to the RH scene.

Rating: This is a 4/5 read. I loved the book but felt like some areas were rushed in setting up the RH romance.

In Twisted Metal by Savannah Rylan, book 1 of the Twisted Intentions series, the protagonist trades herself to the Twisted Metal MC for her father's freedom. Although she initially expects to be a mere transaction, she discovers that her captors, Trooper, Dutch, and Ranger, are much more complex than they appear. While she spends time with them, she begins to feel safer and more valued. However, her past catches up with her, and she must fight to remain in control of her life.

As someone who loves gritty "why choose" romances, I was excited to dive into Twisted Metal. The concept of a motorcycle club reverse harem was intriguing to me, and I couldn't wait to see where the story would go. However, I had trouble connecting with the characters at first and felt as though I was thrown into the middle of the story without a clear direction. Additionally, I found the triggers to be unclear, and I wished for more information about the book's content. Despite these initial issues, I ended up enjoying the book and found the steamy scenes to be satisfying. I did feel like the characters could have benefited from more development and structure, but overall, I found the book to be appealing.

Naomi gives up herself for father when he gets in trouble with Troop, Dutch and Ranger. She will put up a fight while holding out for her fiancé Gordon to find her. But the more her and the guys spend together, the more they fall for each other. Then they learn of Gordon’s secrets and Naomi realizes her life changes forever. As they go through this journey, they will be hit with many twists. But they won’t let anything stop them from falling for each other or protect each other.

Savannah Rylan has brought us her new series Twisted Intentions with the first book being Twisted Metal. I've read just about all of Savannah's books and I have to say this one was different for me. It was MC, Mafia tie-ins, violence, kidnapping, drama, reverse-harem and lots of twists and turns. It was a long read with a slow burn romance.
This book starts us off with Naomi who is a nurse and engaged to a police officer. They are high school sweethearts but Naomi has found herself questioning her life with him. She realizes she's spent their whole relationship serving him and his wants and needs, not getting anything back for herself in return. Her sick father ends up in a situation and Naomi trades herself for her father. She's taken by Ranger, Dutch, and Trooper. That's when things get interesting in her life and thanks to the guys she finds out all of the lies she's been surrounded by and never realized. Especially the truth about her relationship.
After seeing the guys aren't really all that bad even after the things they have threatened her with she takes a liking to them. And they take an instant liking to her, especially teasing her. Now they have dark sides to them but they are good at hiding them until the time is right. While Naomi is with them they straighten out what her father messed up and also help her with the problems in her life.
I had to give this book 3.5 stars. I couldn't really connect with any of the characters although the plot was good. For something as spicy as a reverse-harem I didn't like the slow build-up with all the teasing and leading up but no follow through until once at the very end. And with there only being once scene with them all it wasn't as explicit as I would have expected or liked. Although I can see why others would enjoy this book, it wasn't really for me.
