I’m still sitting with this one, not exactly sure how I feel. Rounding down what would have been a 2.5/5 rating after reading more about the author.
There were bits I liked about it. At times, decent writing. And, every once in a while, a meaningful observation. Those positives were overwhelmed by several hundred pages of trauma porn containing a message I do not agree with. And in all that time, the author missed many opportunities for nuance and profundity.
I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone.

ow, this hurt, but it was worth it. this author tells a terribly dark story in the most beautiful words.
Går det att läka en fruktansvärd barndom, om inte, går det att leva vidare och hur i så fall? Hur är det att stå bredvid? Räcker min kärlek? Skickligt skriven, blir inte för svår att läsa fast svåra partier. Trovärdig.
